As of December 31, 2025, candidates are required to have the following qualifications:
- Mining Mate-C: A valid ‘Restricted’/‘Unrestricted’ Certificate of Competency for metalliferous mines issued by DGMS + At least 3 years of experience in metalliferous mines.
- Winding Engine Driver-B: Must have a Matriculation and a 1st Class Winding Engine Driver Certificate of Competency from DGMS, along with over 3 years of experience as a Winding Engine Driver in Metal Mines, including at least 1 year on a 75 HP winder or higher.
- Boiler-cum-Compressor Attendant-A: Must have completed matriculation and hold a 1st Class Boiler Attendant Certificate issued by any State/UT Government Board, along with one year of experience managing single or multiple boilers with a capacity of 300 sq. mtr. or greater.
